moonlight masquerade

Moonlight Masquerade, by Ruth Axtell. Lady Celine, french by birth, but now widowed from a british man, finds herself spying for the french, she feels like it is her duty to help her coubtry especially from the English who are determined to control them. So she finds herself in the very dangerous position of spying on the English, if discovered she could be hanged as a traitor. Upon suspicion of Lady Celine's loyalties, Rees a British officer is sent in undercover acting as her butler to try and find if she is a spy and what information she has passed on to the french. Only soon Rees finds himself, while disagreeing with her giving the french information, fall for her and feeling a need to protect her. Which is good, because quite frankly Lady Celine needs some protection, she's in more trouble than even she knows! While falling for each other, they also find themselves growing more suspicious of each other and what they're really doing.
This book was full of suspense and surprises! had surprises for you around every corner! it made you want to cheer for the characters who could never seem to really be able to fall completely for each other! i'm pretty sure I got this book done in one day, it was that good! its one of those books to go soak in a tub with and lose yourself in for a few hours!!
